Su producci\u00f3n literaria super\u00f3 las 80 obras y sus&nbsp;libros se tradujeron a m\u00e1s de 20 idiomas.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <strong><\/strong>Sus poemas, que <strong>llegaron al coraz\u00f3n de varias generaciones de lectores<\/strong>, fueron musicalizados por grandes artistas. Y dos&nbsp;de sus novelas, &nbsp;\u201cLa Tregua\u201d y \u00abGracias por el fuego\u00bb,&nbsp;fueron llevadas al cine.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>En 2020 se cumpli\u00f3 el centenario de su nacimiento<\/strong>, en Paso de los Toros, Uruguay.
