Con el MGM Grand Garden Arena de Las Vegas colmado, los Latin Grammy 2021, con los que la Academia Latina de la Grabación galardona lo mejor de la música latina, recuperaron todo su brillo en la gala principal de su edición número 22, con la conducción de Ana Brenda Contreras, Carlos Rivera y Roselyn Sánchez, transmitida por TNT.
Después de una premier en la que C. Tangana y Camilo se repartieron el primer escalón del podio, con tres gramófonos cada uno, y en la que también fueron premiados los argentinos Vicentico, Nathy Peluso, Andrés Calamaro y el grupo Tinto Tango, la celebración se encaminó hacia la premiación de sus categorías principales.
Más de 20 mil trabajos presentados debió analizar la Academia, para decidir qué artistas resultarían ganadores de las 53 categorías que comprenden los Latin Grammy, según señaló su CEO, Manuel Abud. Su titular resaltó, además, la diversidad y la inclusión como patrones que rigen el mecanismo de elección puesto en fucnionamiento por la Academia.
